Tatted Daisy Chain

When I was 13 or 14 my sister gave me a tatting shuttle and a library book fro Christmas. From that book I taught myself how to tat.

Here is a daisy chain I made for my mother. I finished it yesterday and starched it in a sugar solution.

The pattern was fairly simple. I used two shuttles. The second shuttle is only used as the main shuttle for one ring, which is marked R2

Arthur's Quilt

When I decided to make this quilt for my nephew when he was four my mom thought it was crazy. But he needed a quilt and I needed a project.  It is a pieced variation of the pinwheel. I had it professionally machine quilted to make it sturdy.

Juniper's Castle Quilt

I went into the fabric store and found this amazing fabric.

I then had to figure out what to make with it and so the castle quilt evolved, with the amazing fabric as the backing.

The entire top is patchwork with some fancy stitching on the top.

Some of my nieces, Sage and Leah, helped with the placement of the items in the quilt as it was a present for Juniper.  My mom hand quilted it.

She loves it!

Here are some close up views of the different parts.

Leah and Sage were very particular about the placement of this well.  It had to be right on the path.
