Thursday progress

Here it is. In between the library and trying to figure out Ruby I did do some cross stitching.

Look at all the colors on that part of the wing

I am now working up the neck but I have lots more feathers to complete

On a side note Clark loves my necklaces but he has a hard time holding still when wearing them.

A week down

So this is one week into the project. Since I have decided to learn how to code I am not sure if I can keep going at the pace I am.

Flowers are blooming

The flowers have taken shape!

And then I moved my hoop because I felt like it.

Saturday is a special day...

And I made progress. The flowers seem to be taking shape and there is lots more blue. Maybe I will work on my quilt some more but for now I am just cross stitching.

The Beginning

So I don't cross stitch much but I decided why not. I'm not very far yet but not bad progress for how long I have been working on it. Can you guess what it is? Probably not because it is not very obvious yet.

And I finished

Here it is. I have not starched it yet, or worked in the final threads.

Further progress

I finished the first round only to realize I made a mistake so the second round would not attach properly. Today I remade the first round and started in on the second. Only 8 more clovers to go.

My new project

So I drove to Pennsylvania last Saturday and I have been enjoying time with my brother and his family. Tatting is nice in that it is so small and can be taken anywhere. Admittedly I brought my quilt to work on as well. Here is a project that I started today. I like tatting and reading at the same time.

I am not very far. Still working on the first round.

And I just finished the first round.

Christmas Double Irish Chain

A few years back I decided to make a quilt for my sister Emily for Christmas.  I repeated the Double Irish Chain but with Christmas fabric this time.  It is pieced and hand quilted.

Green Tatted Snowflake

I finished this today. It only took a few days. I still need to starch it. I will post another picture when I do.

My very first quilt

When I was 12 I decided it was high time to make my first quilt. My mom took me to the fabric store and I chose the pattern and material. I then cut out the strips with a pair of scissors on the back of a dry erase board.

Since then I have made another rendition of the double Irish chain (which I will post later).

I then hand quilted it (I did have help for that part).

Tatted Star

I finished this nice little star today. I have not starched it yet and there are still threads to work in but it is a beauty. This was just one round which made it unique.

Lost Ships Quilt Progress

I am currently working on a pieced quilt entitled Lost Ships. It is still a work in progress but it is fun to make.  There are some really small pieces. At the end of a finals week my friend Char and I went to a fabric store. I left with this fabric and then had to decide what to do with it. I am pretty pleased with my choice.

The material, the flower and the brown will be in the border

Trying to decide how it should go together...so many options

Double Wedding Ring Quilt

Samantha purchased the material for this quilt but I took it over and made it. It was quite a challenge to piece with all the curvy lines. Mom and I hand quilted it.

Isn't my grandmothers furniture lovely?
